ABOUT
ALEX LEGAL ENGLISH LONDON
Alex Legal English was founded by Alex, a dual qualified Solicitor and Advocate, lecturer and Legal English trainer living in London.
Alex has spent over 15 years working in the legal industry advising on cross-jurisdictional disputes and domestic law in the areas of civil and criminal litigation, EU law, family and immigration law.
She has advised hundreds of clients from over 35 countries across 6 continents, both individuals and families, from small and medium business owners to large companies, entrepreneurs, start-ups, artists, students and numerous others.
Alex has also worked with vulnerable clients who have been survivors of exploitation and domestic abuse. Her clients have been people from a variety of backgrounds, including native English speakers, bilinguals, dual-nationals and immigrants from all over the world, many of whom spoke with different accents and for whom English was not their first language.
Some of her clients had gone through so much trauma that they did not want to speak at all. Alex believes the key to communication is not only hearing what is said, but also understanding what is not said.
By asking the right questions you can significantly improve your communication skills and work more effectively.
Alex has worked with clients from: Poland, the UK, the US, Ireland, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Germany, France, Lithuania, Latvia, Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Ukraine, Czechia, Slovakia, Finland, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Vietnam, Japan, the Philippines, Malaysia, the UAE, India, Pakistan, Russia, Ukraine, Morocco, Algeria, Congo, Nigeria, Gambia, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Peru, Bolivia and Mexico.
Having trained, qualified and practised in both civil and common law jurisdictions, Alex can navigate the legal complexities between these two legal systems.
This has inspired her to pursue her passion for languages and education, combine it with her legal experience and start a Legal English training consultancy for international lawyers and students who want to learn about the English legal system and want to work with international clients.
