The Legal English Course with Alex was genuinely an interesting course. It provided the attendants with many examples of correct British and American pronunciation which was very useful as English teachers in Poland don’t always pay attention to the pronunciation topic. The attendants had the chance to learn many specific legal vocabulary e.g. from English court room or clients’ meetings. What I appreciate is that we had the chance to learn the vocabulary that is really used in British legal environment. Alex presented us some interesting examples of case studies in important and not always regulated topics such as cybersecurity or so called ‘revenge porn’ ( the distribution of sexually explicit images or videos of individuals without their consent). As cybersecurity and AI-related topics are quite novelty and polish legislation does not provide solutions to these new threats, it was interesting to learn how ‘western’ legislations deal with them. I appreciate that Alex explained briefly how legal system works in the UK, the practical differences between the profession of attorney in Poland and the UK. A lot of specific, useful information from everyday attorney’s life in Britain. I definitely recommend Legal English Course III to everyone who is interested in mastering legal vocabulary. As I have been working in international companies since the beginning of my ‘professional path’ , personally I was slightly sceptical if the course will not be a repetition of what I already learned, however after the course I am positively surprised to learn new things 🙂 Alex has also very kind and warm energy so it was a pleasure to participate in classes. Will definitely join next sessions if possible.
