You will learn how to communicate with your clients and colleagues in everyday situations.
Advise
You will learn how to advise clients in English in a professional manner. You will have a chance to practise speaking in a safe and supportive environment.

You will learn how to introduce yourself, talk about your services and expertise and negotiate in English.
Draft
You will learn how to draft legal correspondence and use the right style and vocabulary.
Q & A
You will have a chance to ask questions and talk about the challenges you face working with foreign clients.

You will learn how to talk about your fees, legal costs and expenses.
The sessions will Cover:
Session 1: Legal professions
You will learn about the legal profession and practice: advocates, solicitors, barristers, attorneys, notaries and more!
Session 2: Civil procedure
You will master all the key terms and expressions from the Civil procedure. Think about the courts and tribunals, parties to the proceedings and trial vocabulary.
Session 3: Client care
You will learn about client meetings, correspondence, liaising with other parties and their lawyers. Think of words such as: fee, disbursements, billable hours, retainer and consultation – do you know their exact meaning?
Session 4: Business Law
Understand the most useful words and learn idioms related to business meetings and contract negotiations. We will talk about Commercial and Company law.
Session 5: Case studies
We will cover some real cases and life scenarios and analyse the vocabulary! You will be able to ask all the question in advance so we can discuss your case study in more detail.
One to One Sessions
During your one to one sessions we will discuss your practice, challenges and opportunities to work internationally and develop your career. We will focus on improving your communication skills and building a vocabulary bank that you can use in the future.
